Revive Ethics in Business
Public Meditation in San Francisco
Tuesday, Oct 18th
Union Square
5:30 pm
---
We are in the middle of living history. The Occupy Movement that's spreading from city to city represents people across the U.S. and around the world, in solidarity, taking a stand against social inequality and the greed and corruption that led to the economic crisis.
Meditators and mindful practitioners from all traditions and backgrounds are invited to come together in Union Square on October 18th to help ensure the collective energy from the movement remains channeled in a positive direction.
We are raising awareness around the need to revive morals, ethics, integrity, and compassion in our business practices so that we can re-establish relationships of trust in our economy and in our society.
Schedule:
5:30 -5:40 pm Opening Remarks
5:40 -6:10 pm Silent Meditation
6:10 -6:15pm Closing Remarks
6:15pm Disperse
*This will not be a guided meditation. You are invited to silently meditate using your own tradition/practice. If you have never meditated before, you are welcome to join us by sitting or standing quietly in solidarity. Printed signs/banners will be posted to let people know what the event is about.
**This event has been approved by the SF Rec & Park department. Our permit lets us use Union Square but we are not allowed to have any amplified sound, nor are we allowed to march from Union Square to another area of the city. Please respect these guidelines and the basic nature of the event.
